Customer Rating:
The design and construction of the Nur Spec R exhaust is second to none. They are engineered from mandrel bent SUS304 grade polished stainless steel, with computer controlled precision ‘fishtail’ welding. The pipework is constant diameter throughout allowing superior flow to crush bent pipework.
Blitz Exhausts are designed for maximum performance, amazing appearance and an aggressive exhaust note.
By using state of the art computer design, flow analysis, dyno testing and precise fitment, Blitz exhausts produce superior power gains without dramatically reducing low-end torque.
Most silencer boxes have a 115mm sized tail pipe. The Nur Spec R cat back systems come with a removable rear baffle section, which is easily removed and replaced by just removing a single 10mm bolt. The choice is between a big power gain, and a deep, loud throaty noise, or medium power gain and a more modest sound. A Japanese 2003 Impreza had noise levels of 96db with the baffle inserted and 105db with the baffle removed.
With a 80mm bore which runs from the catalytic converter back (on most cars), the Nur Spec R series are finely engineered to give good power gains, especially on turbocharged cars. Particular attention is paid to minimise the length of the path from the turbo to the exit pipe, which greatly helps to reduce back pressure. This is ideal for cars with boost upgrades as the standard exhaust can become overly restrictive resulting in a loss of performance, and undue strain placed on the turbo
