Youve got to love dump valves, the unmistakable woosh is all you need to prove youve got top notch turbo power. The science is that when you release the accelerator to change gear theres a massive increase in back pressure thats gonna give you a big lag when you start the next gear. The TurboXS Blow off Valve- Type S relieves compressor pressure surge caused by changing gears or backing off the throttle quickly. This valve is an extremely important part of any turbo system allowing quicker turbo spool up between gear changes and greatly increasing the life of the turbocharger.
The BOV Type S is recommernded for small to meduim turbo charged engines running up to 15 psi boost. Each valve is individually tested to hold 30 lbs. of boost. Sizing of the valve is based on flow and not boost pressure. The valve vents to the atmosphere at sound pressure levels in excess of 106 db when measured 3 feet from the valve.
It is fully adjustable by adding packer washers included in the kit. The high grade aircarft aluminum body is Anodized bright purple to provide out standing looks and superior corrision resistance.
